The First Words — Sound Becomes Language

Your baby is now beginning to speak. Not many words, not perfectly — but clearly enough that meaning is beginning to form. A first word is not just a milestone. It is a shift.

Words Are No Longer Repeated — They Are Used

Speaking and understanding around 25 words. Simple two-word combinations begin — “more milk,” “mummy come.” Your child is connecting ideas, expressing intention, and participating in shared understanding.

Speaking and Understanding 2,000 Words

Language is now growing quickly. Words are becoming tools for description, memory, thought, imagination, and relationship. The more richly a child lives, the more richly they can speak.

Communication Becomes A Way of Living

Speech is no longer emerging — it is flowing, purposeful, and capable of carrying thought, feeling, imagination, and connection with clarity and ease. Natural leadership begins to emerge.
