The Experience Behind Magnificent Parent
Magnificent Parent grew from a question that has occupied much of my life
What can we, as parents, do to give a child the greatest opportunity for a happy childhood, a rich and developing mind, a loving relationship with life, and the freedom to express and unfold the magnificence they carry from birth?
That question became intensely practical when I became a father.
I was fortunate to be a full-time parent for much of my daughter Adelaide’s early life. During those years, I came to see that a child is learning from birth — through love, movement, language, touch, sight, sound, music, play, exploration, relationship, and the quality of the human environment surrounding them.
Magnificent Parent grew from that experience, and from a lifetime of work in education, children’s media, environmental work, business, building, travel, and practical learning.
At the heart of the Magnificent Parent approach is a simple conviction:
Peter Rowan — father, educator, author, and creator of Magnificent Parent. Magnificent Parent grew from lived experience, practical learning, and a deep belief in the magnificence already present in every child.
We do not create the magnificent child. The magnificence is already there. Our role is to help create the loving conditions in which it can flourish.
The Magnificent Parent Course gives parents a clear developmental and educational pathway through the early years, with practical games, activities, and everyday experiences that help parents understand what to do, when to do it, and why it matters.
