Magnificent Parent
A Life Lived in Practice
Peter’s work is grounded not only in study, but in lived experience. Together with his wife, he raised and educated their daughter largely outside of the conventional education system during her early years.
He was a full-time parent for most of the first 12 years of his child’s life, focusing closely on her development, education, and wellbeing.
During this time, they travelled extensively as a family — including extended journeys through Asia, North Africa, and Europe — creating a rich and varied environment for learning and growth.
Their daughter went on to flourish as a capable, confident, and independent young adult.
“The soul is healed by being with children.”

The magnificent parent approach
Children Are Born Good
Through a combination of study, observation, and lived family experience, Peter developed the Magnificent Parent approach — based on a simple but powerful understanding: children are born good, and from birth, they are ready to engage with the world.
When a child’s environment is rich in these elements, development is naturally supported:
Love
Language
Movement
Exploration
Music
Connection
“Where there is love, there is life.”
— Mahatma Gandhi
What drives this work
A Simple Intention
Many parents care deeply for their children and are doing their best — yet often lack clear guidance about what their child truly needs, particularly in the early years. It is this quiet gap — between a parent’s intention and a child’s experience — that Peter seeks to gently address.
Greater ease
Deeper connection
A more joyful family life
“What we offer a child from birth shapes far more than we may first realise. With understanding, care, and the right environment, something natural — and often remarkable — can unfold.”
— Peter Rowan
